Tygart Valley River Wetland Mitigation Bank Project

The Tygart Valley River Wetland Mitigation Bank near Elkins, West Virginia, restored 26.5 acres of a drained wet meadow and stream complex. Once used for agriculture, the restored wetland reduces pollution from nearby development and recharges groundwater and now supports a wide array of aquatic life.
